Key West Shrimp Tacos

Fresh, vibrant, and made for warm days, these Key West Shrimp Tacos bring a little sunshine to your table no matter where you are. This is the kind of recipe that feels special without being complicated, layering bright citrus, a touch of sweetness, and just enough heat to keep things interesting.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined 

  2. 1 ½ tbsp olive oil 

  3. 1–2 tbsp Salt Sisters Key West Seafood Rub 

  4. 2 limes

  5. Corn tortillas 

  6. 3 cups coleslaw shredded mix

  7. ¾ cup fresh pineapple, finely diced 

  8. 2–3 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped 

  9. ½  jalapeño, diced 

  10. 1 tbsp rice vinegar 

  11. 1 tsp honey 

  12. 1 tbsp olive oil 

  13. ¼ tsp  Salt Sisters Lime Sea Salt

Instructions

Pineapple Slaw 

  1. In a large bowl combine: coleslaw mix, pineapple, cilantro, jalapeño 

  2. In a small bowl whisk together: lime juice, rice vinegar, honey, olive oil, salt 

  3. Pour dressing over slaw and toss well. 

Let sit 10–15 minutes so the flavors meld. 

Shrimp

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook shrimp 2 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and slightly caramelized.

  2. Remove from heat and squeeze a little extra lime juice over the top. 

Serve

  1. Warm the Tortillas over a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side, slight char
  2. Assemble the Tacos with shrimp, Pineapple slaw, avacado slices, cilantro 

 

The shrimp come together quickly while the pineapple slaw adds that perfect fresh crunch. It’s an easy, flavor-packed meal that’s just as perfect for a weeknight dinner as it is for hosting friends.
